Have you ever dreamt about staying in an extremely pricey 5 star hotel?  We certainly did, and our once-in-lifetime-dream hotel is an over-water bungalow in Bora Bora.  However, the fact that the room comes with a hefty price tag of $950 per night has kept that dream from becoming a reality…until now.  We recently found out about the Priceless Surprises promotion run by the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) where you can be eligible to win anything from 500 IHG points to 2016 Paris Tennis Tournament, valued at $23,000. The great part is, you can enter up to 94 times for free!  Here is the breakdown of the promotion:

In order to play you have to be a resident of the United States and have a valid Mastercard, register at pricelesssurprises.ihg.com and open an IHG Rewards Club Account. There are two ways to play the Instant Win Game : a) stay in an IHG hotel for two or more nights, or b) Mail-in Alternate Method of Entry.  Here is a link to the detailed rules and prizes.

We chose the Mail-in Method.  From November 15, 2015 to February 15, 2016, you can enter the Instant Win Game by mailing in a hand written card in lieu of a qualifying stay.  On the 3”x5” card, you have to write out the following things and send it to “IHG and MasterCard® Priceless Surprises® Promotion,” c/o HelloWorld, Inc., P.O. Box 5996, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5996:

  • Your full name,
  • mailing address,
  • day and evening phone numbers,
  • a valid email address,
  • member number
  • first six digits of your MasterCard
  • date of birth

Since this entry method doesn’t require any IHG hotel stays, it only costs each of us $53.73 for the envelopes, index cards and stamps.  As I mentioned earlier, the minimum prize per entry is 500 IHG points. If you don’t mind spending three to four hours painstakingly writing out the cards, you can win at least 47,000 (500 points * 94 entries) IHG points, and potentially a lot more.

Entering this promotion will bring us a little closer to our dream.  Top-tier InterContinental properties like the InterContinental Hotel Bora Bora Resort Thalasso Spa only costs 50,000 points to redeem for one night.  Since we both entered the contest, we both have almost 2 FREE nights at this amazing resort.  It’s not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon. There’s still a lot of time to enter, so go order some stamps and start writing.
