I can’t believe it’s fall already, where did the summer go? I have learned to love the fall season in New York, with the brisk air and colorful leaves. But with the change of season, comes the colder weather – which I am definitely not a fan of. This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, so I wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on our year so far. There are so many heartbreaking things going on in the world, and it makes me appreciate everything that I have and everyone in my life.

So thankful to be alive and traveling with my amazing husband
You might have noticed that the posts have slowed down lately. It has been a very busy summer for us between work and traveling. A lot of things have happened in the last few months: I’ve moved to a new job and we kicked our travels into high gear after a 6 months hiatus. You might have seen from our On the Road posts that we’ve been to Tanzania and Rio. I am so excited to share the posts from our amazing African Safari trip with you soon, once I get through the rest of the Europe posts (sorry, I write really slow!). My new 9 to 5 job is getting busier, which is good because it means I am learning and getting more responsibility, but it also means that I have less time to write. I am definitely not complaining that I am too busy because I am traveling and working. I am doing all the stuff I love, but it just means that it takes awhile to share it with you all. I am so thankful for all the people who have followed our stories and gave us feedback. It brightens up my day when, I hear that one of my posts gave someone ideas for their travels. That’s what it’s all about right? Sharing our travel experiences.

When the sisters get together, trouble is not far behind.
There are a lot of things coming up for us as well. For Canadian Thanksgiving, I am heading to Quebec with my family for the weekend. Watch out for new photos on our Instagram feed. We will end our year with a big trip back to Asia to explore the exotic country of Burma. I am beyond thrilled to finally be able to wander through the iconic Bagan temples and cruise on the vibrant Inle Lake. We are currently in the planning phase and we just booked our flights to Asia, so it’s official!
Now is a great time to travel, I recently saw so many cheap flights to Europe, Asia, and South Africa! $120 for a one way ticket from New York to Norway on Norwegian Air! There is really no excuse not to travel at that price. Whatever your plans are, I hope that everyone has a great rest of the year. Even if you’re not Canadian, it’s never a bad time to sit back and reflect on all one’s blessings. Let’s enjoy ourselves before it gets too cold. Cheers.
Beautiful fall picture!
